We make ideas real.

At IronBytes Labs, we’re not a faceless corporation — we’re two hands-on problem solvers who’ve spent our lives making things work in the real world. Founded by Logan Shaw and Gage Becker, IronBytes is built on the belief that the best solutions come from practical experience, a little grit, and the drive to turn ideas into reality. Here’s a closer look at who we are and what we stand for.

Meet Our Team

Person 1

Logan

Logan Shaw is a former Marine Combat Engineer who spent his Afghanistan deployment in Helmand Province performing route clearance operations where attention to detail was a matter of survival. After leaving the service in 2011, he spent years hauling heavy equipment across the Midwest, working in customer service, and managing logistics overseas as a contractor for a major life support operation. Logan joined Sound and Cellular as an installation technician where he discovered 3D printing and quickly became obsessed with learning how things work. He has since built multiple custom printers, including the company’s large-format machine, and taught himself CAD and product design along the way. After years of using poorly designed gear and pushing through inefficient processes, Logan developed a deep respect for things that simply work. That mindset, part curiosity and part stubborn drive to make things better, became the foundation of IronBytes Labs.

Person 2

Gage

Gage is a technologist, machinist, programer, and problem solver with a mind for precision and skill for bringing ideas to life. He holds a degree in electronics, a hobby and occupation for over 20 years. As the stereotypical nerd Gage is a bit bashful, but knows his stuff and will not stop learning. His curiosity led him to everything from programing various MCUs (in C and sometimes asm) to machining a gear for the fun of it. These passions led Gage to become a Biomedical Equiptment technician where he worked on electrical, pnumatic, hydralic, computer, and mechanical systems. As a change of pace he turned yet another hobby, machining, into a career. His mix of high-tech knowledge and hands-on mechanical skill makes him the perfect Co-Founder of IronBytes Labs.
